Vascular Tech Location: Lawton, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,240 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 1/26/2026 About the Position Job Title: Sonographer Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Vascular Technologist, Ultrasound Technologist General Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in ultrasound License: Certification by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Certifications: Basic Life Support (CPR) Must-Have: Ability to speak, read, and write English Description: The Sonographer will provide ultrasound services in a timely and efficient manner to all patients. The Sonographer will perform tasks and duties as outlined in the Imaging Services Department’s policy and procedures. The role includes assisting with assigned administrative tasks. Verifying patient and procedural information is essential. Preparing patients for exams and educating patients and family members is required. Performing exams and communicating reports to physicians is part of the job. The Sonographer must comply with and organize data for the radiologist. Maintaining and stocking exam rooms, as well as preparing and cleaning them, is necessary. Transporting patients is included in the duties. The Sonographer will maintain clinical competencies through participation in educational and orientation programs. Tasks commonly performed include reviewing computer-generated information to determine image quality for diagnostic interpretation. Safety measures and protection devices must be utilized to comply with regulations. Explaining procedures and observing patients to ensure their safety and comfort during scans is crucial. Operating ultrasound imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images is a key responsibility. Positioning and immobilizing patients on the examining table is required. Monitoring patients' conditions and reactions, and reporting any abnormal signs to the physician, is essential.
