Stepdown for a local contract nursing job in Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Stepdown -
Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36
hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Local
Contract Essential Responsibilities The responsibilities listed
below are core to this position. Inability to perform these duties,

disqualification. - Assume responsibility for an assigned group of
patients and provide comprehensive nursing care. - Document patient
responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments;
record all changes in physician orders. - Assist physicians in
examining patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures or
treatments. - Obtain and monitor patients’ physiological data;
observe clinical manifestations and intervene when appropriate. -
Administer medications as prescribed; initiate, regulate, and
monitor IV infusions and blood products. - Deliver patient care
safely and competently in accordance with hospital policies and
nursing standards. - Communicate and collaborate with patients and
families regarding care plans throughout hospitalization and at
discharge. - Educate patients and families on hospital procedures
and expectations. - Make appropriate referrals to healthcare
personnel based on patient needs. - Delegate tasks to support staff
as appropriate. Certifications & LicensureRequired: - Current
Registered Nurse (RN) License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of
Nursing OR a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC). -
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American
