Psychiatric Tech Location: Lawton, OK Agency: Ambition 24Hours Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Registered Nurse Pediatric Psychiatric & Behavioral Health | Night Shift | Oklahoma Our client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to provide nursing care for pediatric and adolescent psychiatric patients. This full-time position involves 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM 7:00 AM) with holiday coverage and may include floating to other units. Key Responsibilities: Deliver nursing care to pediatric and adolescent psychiatric patients Support behavioral health treatment plans within a multidisciplinary team environment Respond to crisis situations using de-escalation and therapeutic interventions Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR Float to other units as needed Serve as charge nurse when assigned (no additional pay) Ensure compliance with Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) background check requirements Required Qualifications: Active Oklahoma RN license Current BLS certification Minimum 2 years nursing experience (pediatric psychiatric experience strongly preferred) Must be over 21 years of age Ability to work full-time night shifts Strong behavioral health assessment and crisis management skills Core Competencies: Therapeutic communication Patient and family advocacy Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques Teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration Emotional resilience and professionalism Additional Information: Assignment length: 13 weeks Floating to other units may be required; ratios vary based on acuity and census If you are a dedicated RN passionate about pediatric behavioral health and ready to contribute to a supportive care environment, we encourage you to apply.
