Gifted Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Travel Psych LPN to join our team in Elk City, Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of providing compassionate care to psychiatric patients in various settings. As a Travel Psych LPN, you will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and working closely with a healthcare team to deliver personalized treatment plans. This role requires adaptability, emotional resilience, and the ability to provide exceptional care under challenging conditions. Monitor and record patients' mental health status and physical condition Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisor or physician of patient’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents Document all patient interactions as per compliance and regulatory standards Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families Assist with daily living activities and therapeutic interventions Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and healthcare needs Strong psychiatric and pharmacological knowledge Excellent observational skills and attention to detail Ability to handle physically and emotionally stressful situations professionally Proficient in maintaining accurate and detailed reports Effective communication and interpersonal skills Adaptability in various healthcare settings and scenarios Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Oklahoma BLS Certification required Additional certification in psychiatric nursing is preferred
