Registered Nurse (RN) | Neuro Location: Oklahoma City, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,140 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Neuro RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104! Job Title: RN Neurology Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neurosciences Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 48.00 Experience: 1 year preferred License: Current RN License Certifications: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association Must-Have: - Stroke experience and NIHSS preferred - Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services - Good verbal and written communication skills Description: Under general supervision, provides nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients. Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments. Notes all changes in physician orders for assigned patients. Assists physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients. Observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary. Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products. Delivers patient care competently. Interacts with family and patients in sharing care plan while in the hospital and at discharge. Informs patients and families of hospital procedures. Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Delegates tasks to support staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Schedule Notes: Will need to precept and possibly work in the virtual room. This unit serves Stroke and Neuro patients, as well as ortho and spine patients.
