Interventional Radiology Location: Oklahoma City, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,292 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Interventional Technologist Profession: Interventional Technologist Specialty: FS Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: One of the following required Certifications: - ARRT - Vascular Interventional Radiography - ARRT - Cardiac Interventional Radiography - ARRT Radiography - CCI - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Must-Have: BLS / ACLS required Description: Under immediate to general supervision and direction of a mentor or preceptor, this entry-level position works to achieve the initial competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations. The purpose is to aid medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions, defects, and/or diseases. Utilizing entry-level knowledge, abilities, skills, and available resources, this position provides safe, high quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care and support services under routine or emergent conditions in a variety of care settings. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures and correlating clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians. Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team to identify and implement the necessary actions to achieve desired clinical outcomes and operational goals. Utilizes a variety of highly specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment and techniques to perform a diverse range of diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures. Conducts post-procedure reviews to confirm that all required elements are completed and documented, ensuring that technical quality aligns with established protocols or applicable accreditation standards. Transfers images and data to appropriate archival systems, enters technical data or findings, and prepares studies for reporting by physicians. Performs operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfecting, and other user maintenance per manufacturer instructions for use and other regulatory guidelines. Participates in continuing education, professional development, and research activities to maintain competencies and promote continuous improvements in care and treatments. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Experience: Skill in applying principles of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology, medical imaging, medical terminology, patient positioning, and medical ethics. Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions; dependable reporting to work as scheduled. Sensitive to patients’ physical and psychological needs. Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes. Ability to draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations. Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information and sound judgment. Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations. Ability to understand various operations, policies, and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, and their families in a professional, courteous, and compassionate manner. Displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment toward completing assignments efficiently. Ability to work with minimum supervision and demonstrate attention to detail. Core knowledge and understanding of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology; cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies and terminology associated with the specialty. Ability and skill to apply core-level specialty theory, practices, and techniques to perform, post-process, analyze, and annotate study data or procedure documentation with general supervision or assistance.
