working with Cynet Health to find a qualified NICU RN in Oklahoma
City, Oklahoma, 73104! Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty:
NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12
Experience: 1 year required License: Current nursing license
Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: Ability to float among
departments Description: Under general supervision, provides
nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health
problems ranging from simple to complex. Assumes responsibility for
an assigned group of patients. Documents patient responses to
nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all
changes in physician orders on assigned patients. Assists physician
in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic
procedures and treatments. Obtains and monitors physiological data
of patients; observes physiological manifestations and intervenes
when necessary. Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates,
regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
Delivers patient care competently. Interacts with family and
patients in sharing care plans during hospitalization and at
discharge. Informs patients and families of hospital procedures.
Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate
personnel. Delegates tasks to support staff. Knowledge of
professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
is required. Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate
nursing services and apply nursing techniques is essential. Must
maintain good working relationships with other employees. Good
verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Ability to
respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients
and visitors is important. Some computer skills are required. 5
