This position offers flexible, PRN coverage, allowing you to work on your schedule while providing essential health assessments. With a competitive hourly pay rate of $402.00, this role is ideal for experienced clinicians seeking meaningful part-time opportunities in a reputable organization committed to serving those who served. The role involves conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, primarily interview-based with some physical evaluations such as range of motion and muscle strength tests. There is no prescribing or treatment involved. Candidates must be comfortable working independently, with a focus on quick credentialing and onboarding. Required skills include licensure as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably with a background in family or internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or experience with compensation and pension examinations. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physical assessments are essential. Nice-to-have skills include prior experience in veteran health services, familiarity with physical testing procedures, and experience working independently in a clinic or office setting. Preferred educational background is an active Nurse Practitioner license with relevant experience in general medicine. Candidates should be locally based within a 50-mile radius of Edmond, OK, with their own office if working off-site. No travel reimbursements are provided beyond the hourly rate, and candidates must have or acquire necessary certifications and licensure. Other requirements include availability starting from March 18, 2026, and flexibility to work 4-hour half-day shifts or full 8-hour days, as needed. Candidates should be capable of handling administrative follow-up tasks including report submissions and addendums.
