*************** ONLY TRAVELERS ACCEPTED ****************Hourly Pay: $67/hr -- Location: Oklahoma City, OK -- Contract: 13 Weeks **General Description:*Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care in a hospital setting to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. The RN will be responsible for delivering quality patient care in a cardiac stepdown unit.*Essential Responsibilities:** Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.* Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, noting any changes in physician orders for assigned patients.* Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.* Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observing for any changes in their condition and intervening as necessary.* Administer prescribed medications, and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.* Provide competent and compassionate patient care.* Communicate with patients and families to share care plans during their hospital stay and at discharge.* Inform patients and families of hospital procedures and policies.* Refer patients to appropriate personnel for additional care needs.* Delegate tasks to support staff as needed.*General Responsibilities:** Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or hospital management.*Required Skills & Experience:** Minimum of 1 year of experience in a pediatric setting.* Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.* Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services effectively.* Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with healthcare team members.* Strong verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to respond to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.* Basic computer skills.*Required Education:** Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.*Preferred Education:** Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a Board-approved program.*Required Certifications & Licensure:** RN License (Oklahoma or Multistate)* BLS through AHA.* PALS through AHA.*#HC2025*Job Types: Travel nursing, ContractPay: $2,412.00 per weekBenefits:* Referral programMedical Specialty:* Cardiology* Medical-Surgical* PediatricsPhysical Setting:* Level I trauma centerSupplemental Pay:* Overtime payWork Location: In personby Jobble
