Job Description:

Summit Technologies Inc . is seeking an experienced Audio Visual Specialist to provide daily operational and sustainment support for installed classroom audiovisual (AV) systems supporting USAFCOEFS FCP classrooms. This position ensures all classroom AV systems remain fully operational to support Government training, ceremonies, conferences, and mission events. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical troubleshooting skills, experience with enterprise ticketing systems, and the ability to provide hands-on support in a fast-paced DoD environment. This position supports mission-critical training and Command-level events in a highly visible Army environment. You will directly contribute to operational readiness by ensuring training classrooms and official events are supported by reliable, high-quality audiovisual systems. Candidates must be eligible for a DoD Secret Clearance. Key Responsibilities Classroom Operational & Sustainment Support Provide daily on-site operational and sustainment support for installed classroom AV systems. Maintain detailed daily logs of performance tasks, customer requests, and known issues. Ensure all FCP classrooms remain fully functional to support Government training requirements. Maintain a Common Operating Picture (COP) of all FCP classrooms. Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform monthly preventative maintenance, including: Cleaning and dusting projectors and AV cabinets Replacing projector filters and lamps Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve AV performance issues. Interpret AV signal flow wiring diagrams and schematics. Repair communication cabling as required. Replace defective components and manage repair parts inventory. Ticketing, Reporting & Documentation Utilize Army Enterprise Service Management (AESMP) to track and capture workload. Create and monitor SharePoint sustainment tickets until resolution and closure. Provide: Daily activity status updates Weekly inventory reports Monthly reports (submitted on the first duty day of each month) Propose and maintain an approved work log format within 30 days of contract award. Document shipping/receiving of repair parts and equipment. Event & Ceremony Support Provide audiovisual setup and operational support for: Change-of-command ceremonies Retirements Awards and special occasions Conferences and multi-day events Conduct site surveys to determine: Power availability Furniture configuration Equipment positioning and speaker requirements Pack, transport, install, test, and operate AV equipment. Adjust mixers, filters, and equalizers to ensure high-quality sound reproduction. Monitor live events to prevent distortion and technical failures. Customer Support & Training Serve as classroom support representative and maintain routine communication with leadership. Provide user training and instructional briefings on AV systems. Assist Government personnel with daily classroom AV operations. Develop and manage the AV loaner equipment program. Required Qualifications Associate’s degree in Audio Visual Technology, Electronics, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2 years of hands-on AV support experience. Experience troubleshooting projectors, mixers, sound systems, and classroom AV configurations. Experience working with enterprise ticketing systems (SharePoint, AESMP, or similar). Ability to read and interpret AV schematics and wiring diagrams. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting DoD or Army classroom environments. Knowledge of Microsoft Teams Conferencing Systems. Experience managing inventory and equipment accountability. Familiarity with structured service-level response environments.
