Job Description:
The CT Technologist performs CT, radiology, and fluoroscopy
procedures, including portable exams, on patients of all ages to
produce diagnostic images.
Responsibilities include accurate patient positioning, equipment
prep, contrast administration, and patient safety, following
protocols and safety standards.
Explains procedures, reviews patient history, assists with invasive
procedures, and documents exam data.
Supervises students, participates in continuing education, and
communicates departmental concerns.
Requires completion of an accredited Radiology Tech program, ARRT
(R) registration, and BLS certification.
Preferred 1-year radiologic and CT experience; must obtain ARRT
(CT) certification within 2 years.
Must work rotating weekends, holidays, shifts, and be on-call, with
knowledge of anatomy, safety, and patient care.
