Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is
seeking an experienced RN for a Medicine Specialty Step Down
position requiring an OK or compact RN license and BLS
certification. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Hospital setting in a
Medicine Specialty Step Down unit - Patient population includes
individuals with a range of health issues from simple to complex -
Three 12-hour day shifts per week - Assignment duration is 13 weeks
- Floating is not specified - No local candidates accepted within a
50-mile radius - Responsibilities include caring for a group of
patients, administering medication, monitoring patient status, and
documenting interventions - RNs assist physicians with examinations
and minor diagnostic procedures - Will educate and interact with
patients and families regarding care plans and hospital procedures
- Delegation to support staff may be required - Candidates may not
return for another contract until six months after completing a
26-week extension - Professional communication and organization
skills are essential /n /n Requirements/n - Active RN license in
Oklahoma or a compact state (eNLC) - Current Basic Life Support
(BLS) certification from the American Heart Association - Minimum
of one year of recent RN experience - Associate's Degree in Nursing
